Kade and Meggan Hatch Butterfield were high school sweethearts who continued their courtship and education on to Snow College. Both attended Snow from 2003-2005 and were married on December 16, 2005, exemplifying a "True Badger" connection. They now have four beautiful daughters who are their light and joy.
Kade Butterfield received his Associate of Science focusing on pre-med studies. While at Snow he played one year of football and was able to be an athletic trainer for one semester. His most memorable moments at Snow include his first day at football practice. Kade watched many Snow College games growing up and it was surreal to realize a dream of his come true. Kade was selected as a TA for his anatomy class. One event that evokes a vivid memory is receiving new cadavers for anatomy class and having to dissect them for demonstration purposes. It may have been this experience that caused him to reevaluate his studies.

Meggan Hatch Butterfield received her Associate of Science from Snow College. She was first introduced to group aerobics while at Snow, which sparked her interest and passion for group fitness. This introduction shaped her whole direction as she pursued her Bachelor's in Exercise Science from the University of Utah. Meggan has always had a passion for exercise, being active, and learning about the body. She has turned this spark into a flame in her career and as a business owner.
After college, Meggan worked for 15 years as a health coach for Orriant. Kade and Meggan decided to take things a step further and opened Ardent, a boutique fitness studio, located in Saratoga Springs, Utah. Meggan states, "Opening a fitness studio in the middle of the Covid pandemic was probably the craziest idea my husband and I have ever had!" The business is now thriving and offers classes in kickboxing, weightlifting, yoga, high fitness and more. Meggan also organizes an annual women's retreat which will be held in Bear Lake, Utah this fall. Women gather for a weekend of inspiration, motivation, fitness activities and comradery.
Meggan reflects fondly on her time at Snow College. She was able to be a part of the President's Leadership Team (PLT) where she had the opportunity to assist with all major events the president attended. A highlight of this experience was cheering on President Michael Benson as he ran the St. George Marathon. The PLT's made posters for the race and took a road trip to encourage President Benson across the finish line.
